Apple Prepares to Release Smart Display with homeOS, Comes with Apple Intelligence

Previously, Apple would launch the latest Mac series with the M4 chip in October. The products that will get this update are the iMac, MackBook Pro, and Mac mini.

Quoted from 9to5macThursday (24/9/2024), even though the event was held in October, this new device may only be available on the market in November. Here are some things we should look forward to:

1. 16GB RAM is standard

Apple will start providing 16GB RAM on Macs with the M4 chip, including the MackBook Pro 14, Mac mini, and iMac.

Previously, Apple only provided 8GB RAM, so this is an interesting upgrade, especially since Apple’s technology now requires more memory.

2. New Design for Mac mini

The Mac mini will get its biggest redesign in 14 years. The size will be smaller, but the USB-A port will disappear, replaced by more USB-C ports.

Even though there isn’t much information about its appearance, this is interesting news considering that the Mac mini is the cheapest Mac.

3. USB-C accessories for iMac

With rumors of a new iMac being released, Apple is also expected to replace accessories such as the Magic Mouse, Keyboard and Trackpad to USB-C. This is due to new regulations in the European Union that require the use of USB-C on electronic devices.

4. Space Black color for the cheapest MacBook Pro

The Space Black color is currently only available for the more expensive MacBook Pro models, but with the arrival of the M4 MacBook Pro, it is likely that this color will also be available for the cheaper models.

5. Chip M4 Pro dan M4 Max

Even though the M4 chip has already been released in the iPad Pro, Apple has not introduced the more powerful M4 Pro and M4 Max Chip variants.

Both chips are expected to arrive in the high-end MackBook Pro later this year, and will be faster and more efficient than previous chips.
