“We take copyright very seriously and as a result, content represented by SESAC is no longer available on YouTube in the US. We are in active talks with SESAC and hope to reach a new agreement as soon as possible,” he concluded.
According to a source who spoke to Varietythe deal is reportedly set to expire next week.
The steps taken by YouTube may just be a negotiation tactic. Unfortunately, SESAC has not provided an official statement.
