In iOS 18, Apple introduced a new feature that allows you to create more varied text.

You can choose text format options such as bold (bold text), italic (makes text italic), underline (adding underscore), or strike-through (cross text).

Apart from that, there are several text effects that make iPhone users’ messages more lively, such as:

• Big: Makes the text bigger instantly.
• Small: Reduces the text size.
• Shake: Makes the text shake.
• Nod: Gives a text effect like a nod.
• Explode: The text will “explode” on the screen.

How to Find and Use Text Effects

If you want to try these effects, follow these steps:

• Open the iMessages app on iPhone.
• Enter to chat or the conversation you choose.
• Tap on the text field to start writing a message.
• Tap the A icon with lines on the left, which is located above the letter P in keyboard.
• Then, the text effects menu will appear.
