Government Finalizes Preparations for PDN Development in Batam

Previously, the government emphasized that it would provide reliable digital infrastructure. Therefore, the PDN (National Data Center) which is being built in Cikarang, West Java is one of the projects that is receiving special attention.

Moreover, after the ransomware incident that attacked PDNS 2 (Temporary National Data Center) some time ago, the government has increasingly tightened cyber security at the PDN Cikarang project.

According to the Director General of Aptika (Director General of Informatics Applications) of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Hokky Situngkir, this incident is a valuable lesson in improving the national data security system.

“It must be acknowledged that the PDNS 2 incident has affected how we improve the development process and so on. However, we don’t think PDN itself has stopped, it’s still going on. The government is now paying more attention to the quality and security of PDN Cikarang,” said Hokky in a press release issued received, Sunday (11/8/2024).
