Band of Brothers creators Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks have joined forces again for a new promising war series. Masters of the Air (2024– ), starring Oscar-nominated actor Austin Butler, hits Apple TV+ in January and the streaming service just shared the full trailer.
The war story follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group, also known as “the Bloody Hundredth” as they conduct dangerous bombing raids over Nazi Germany during World War II. The men face horrific conditions, including icy temperatures and lack of oxygen, as they experience the horrors of war. The psychological and emotional price these young men paid as they helped destroy the horrors of Hitler’s Third Reich is the heart of Masters of the Air.
