The new House of Representatives takes office today. With 67 members, just under half come to the House of Representatives as newcomers. There are many newcomers, especially in the PVV, the big winner of the elections. We take a look at the new politicians that Geert Wilders is bringing to The Hague. We also look at the new MPs from the BBB, which has grown significantly, and NSC, which came from nowhere with twenty seats in the House.

More and more detailed stories are coming out about intense sexual abuse at the attacked music festival in Israel on October 7. The BBC has seen footage of a woman telling police details of an extremely violent rape by several Hamas members.

AI rules may be less strict
Brussels wants to keep a close eye on developments surrounding AI. But due to a twist from France, Germany and Italy, it is now uncertain whether ChatGPT and similar AI applications will be subject to stricter rules. A striking change of course: this summer both the EU member states and the European Parliament were in favor of this.
Today marks the last crucial round of negotiations on this subject between the European Parliament and the Member States.
