This is the second time the reporter has been attacked. The first time that the red note editor was the victim of an attack was on October 11, 2016, when he was hit in the stomach from which he managed to recover and continue with his journalistic work.
On that occasion, Maynor Ramírez got into his car injured and was taken to a local hospital and hours later he was transferred by helicopter to a hospital in the city of Morelia.
Ramírez Arroyo has always covered the red note and security source and was one of the journalists who was reporting on the murder of the founder of the self-defense groups, Hipólito Mora Chávez, which occurred on June 29 in La Ruana.
