Manchester United recorded their third win in a row in the Premier League on Sunday. Partly thanks to a beautiful bicycle kick from Alejandro Garnacho, coach Erik ten Hag’s team was too strong for Everton with a score of 0-3. Tottenham Hotspur went down again.
Garnacho scored in the third minute at Everton-United and the manner in which he did so was unprecedented. After a cross from Diogo Dalot, the young Argentinian attacker beautifully found the intersection with a perfectly executed bicycle kick.
United certainly did not have an easy afternoon at Goodison Park, but they did win. In the second half, Bruno Fernandes made it 0-2 with a striking penalty and Anthony Martial made it 0-3. Goalkeeper André Onana kept United going a few times.
Thanks to the new victory, Manchester United is the new number six in England. Ten Hag’s team is six points behind leader Arsenal. Everton were recently deducted ten points for violating the financial rules and are penultimate.
United will visit Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday and hope to keep the chance of European wintering alive. An away match against Newcastle United, the number seven in the Premier League, awaits on Saturday.

Three disallowed goals from Son at Tottenham
Coach Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham lost 1-2 to Aston Villa. It didn’t seem that way initially, as Giovanni Lo Celso opened the score for the home team after more than twenty minutes. The Argentinian found the goal with a hard shot from the edge of the box.
Aston Villa thought they had leveled two minutes later, but Ollie Watkins’ goal was disallowed for offside after VAR intervention. Deep into injury time in the first half, Pau Torres headed home: 1-1. After just over an hour, Watkins set the final score at 1-2.
Tottenham, where the injured Micky van de Ven was missing, was unable to clear the deficit afterwards. Heung Min-Son saw a goal disallowed for the third time in the match in the final phase.
Tottenham also recently lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers (2-1) and Chelsea (1-4). Due to the third defeat in a row, Spurs lose fourth place to Aston Villa. The difference between the two teams in the rankings is two points. Villa is only two points behind leaders Arsenal.
