Santiago Giménez ended his negative streak without scoring a goal, after he scored a hat-trick with Feyenoord in the duel against Excelsior, a situation that places him as the Eredivisie scoring leader this season and places him one goal behind equal a historical mark set by the Uruguayan Luis Suárez in 2009.

The Mexican forward continues to show that he is at his best level in his club, in his second season with the Dutch club, where he has already won his first local championship. Although he maintained a streak of four games without scoring, he seems to have gotten back on track and is prepared to continue fighting for the individual scoring title.
He is close to surpassing his record from the previous campaign where he finished with 23 goals, registering 18 goals so far, close to closing the first part of the football year.
The Mexican still has several games with his club in both the Eredivisie and the Champions League, although in the Netherlands league he could break a historical record held by Uruguayan Luis Suarez.

There are three games remaining for the Cruz Azul youth player in the remainder of the year, which allows him to have ample chance of being able to surpass Suárez and set a new record. A record that would undoubtedly arouse the interest of several clubs in other leagues, due to the football quality that he could demonstrate.
Their next Eredivisie match will be against PSV Eindhoven on December 3; against Volendam on Thursday, December 7 and will close the year against Heracles on December 17. Between these matches the Champions League duels will be crossed, so the coach could choose to dose the squad, but the opportunities will be several for the Mexican, who only needs two goals.
