And the thing is that, according to the complaint, two investigators from the Prosecutor’s Office, Pablo Andrés Bolaños Salas and Fabio de Jesús González León, apparently included in the investigation report an official statement in which they affirm that they informed Mancera about what would be the acting by Martínez Ardila; but that the Attorney General’s right hand man did not give notice about the results of said undercover work.

To which would be added, according to one of the agents, González León, who was contacted by Víctor Alfonso Forero Cortés, who is part of the CTI, who asked him to delete the name of the organization’s director in Buenaventura from the report, due to that there was no “timely information” about participation in this drug trafficking network. This was recorded in an audio that Coronell replied.

On the contrary, they indicated that after making this situation known, both members of the Technical Investigation Corps were relieved of their positions, to which a disciplinary investigation would be added for alleged conspiracy to commit a crime and other punishable offenses. Therefore, they accused Deputy Prosecutor Mancera of being responsible for this type of persecution against her.
Given this, Petro shared the column on his X account (formerly Twitter) and indirectly accused Mancera of the facts exposed in the writing.
“This is how institutions are taken and turned into exporters of cocaine and importers of illegal weapons. They use the same state to promote crime. The reason for insecurity is the criminal’s ability to co-opt the state. They turn institutions that should persecute, investigate and do justice, into institutions in the pocket of the criminal,” the president replied.

Given the seriousness of the accusations, Deputy Prosecutor Mancera came out to deny the journalistic version of an alleged cover-up of criminal conduct that Martínez Ardila had committed and pointed to President Petro as the main person responsible behind what she described as a plot in her against. At the same time, she pointed out that the president wanted to benefit powerful drug traffickers from that area of the country.
“That strategy has been said by the attorney general of the nation, the president knows it to discredit an official who has been in office for 30 years. She is calling me a mafia. Rather, why don’t we review the facts in Colombia and see if what is being done from the Casa de Nariño is protecting drug traffickers in Colombia,” she said.
The woman referred to a plan that would consist of three strategies: the first, to turn her into a “mafia”, the second, to follow her and the third, the most delicate, to end her life. “The one about murdering me? That of putting a tombstone on me, like the President of the Republic has just done,” she told Semana, in which she insisted, time and again, that she is not the criminal, but rather the agents who accuse her.
Mancera indicated that on October 4, 2023, during the act of forgiveness for the victims of the extrajudicial executions in Soacha and Bogotá, he was completely certain that the president wanted to affect his name. His argument is based on the speech in which Petro mentioned that there were people who did not want an “autonomous and independent prosecutor” to be appointed, and that they were afraid of that situation happening.

“That it is not Dr. Francisco Barbosa (Attorney General), but there are other sectors and other people. And the next day: surprise; There is a written media that says: ‘From the Palace’. And Petro says that the one behind it is Martha Yanet Mancera. Respect, president,” said the deputy prosecutor.
Likewise, the official revealed what would be profiles against her, since they would be taking film and photographic records of her movements. A serious fact in her opinion, since she does not have a robust protection scheme, despite the fact that in 27 of her 30 years in the judicial body she has had an escort to guarantee his safety.
“It is now normal to follow people, to take photographs, to make videos. That is normal for institutions, but it should be abnormal, because then those of us who in one way or another apply the law against drug traffickers and against those who violate them, then we are persecutors of the Government,” Mancera added to the aforementioned media.
Finally, the deputy prosecutor pointed out the peace managers endorsed by the national government as those who continue to sell drugs in the port, in addition to carrying out violent acts, without any response from the State.
“They continue to have full control of the port and absolutely nothing happens from the Government. And are you going to tell me that I am the one who is carrying out a strategic situation so that the drug traffickers feel comfortable? Be careful, gentlemen, I was the one who signed, that arrest warrants cannot be lifted in Colombia against drug traffickers belonging to the Gulf Clan or other structures? “He said.
