Santiago de Compostela, Nov 17 (EFE).- The Ukrainian point guard Oleksandr Kovliar will be the replacement for the American Eric Washington in the Monbus Obradoiro squad, the Galician club reported this Friday, with which he has signed a contract until the end of the season.
International with his country, Kovliar joins the Galician team from Kalev/Cramo of Estonia, with whom he played in the Estonia-Latvia league and the FIBA Europe Cup.
“He is a young player and in continuous progression. He has a notable personality, good physique and good legs. He has the ability to score, since in the one-on-one he has a lot of speed,” highlighted the Obradoiro sports director, Eduardo Pascual.
Oleksandr Kovliar, 21 years old and 191 centimeters tall, will reunite in the Santiago team with his compatriot Artem Pustovyi, with whom he has already shared a dressing room in the senior Ukrainian team. EFE
