Regarding the last offensive, “a structure with 170 gallons of gasoline, 100 kilograms of coca, ACPM, ammonia and different liquid and solid inputs for the processing of the alkaloid was found at the site,” said the Brigade commander, Brigadier General Eduardo Arias, according to information published by W Radio.

The tasks carried out in favor of the coup against these drug processing centers would have included strategic intelligence planning, which has insisted on the search for this type of establishments in the south of the department. In the operational case reported on November 8, Arias stated that “the operation was developed thanks to the information provided by military intelligence, managing to forcefully affect the finances of the Rubén Dario Ávila substructure of the organized armed group Clan del Golfo, since “This illegal laboratory had a production capacity of 62.9 kilograms of coca base paste, valued at more than 250 million pesos per month.”

The National Army source that provided information to the aforementioned media was able to establish that the sum of both offensive acts by the authorities would have allowed the seizure of 47 cans, including plastic (41) and metal (6) with a content of, at least 245 gallons of Acpm and 550 gallons of coca paste solution. In the same way, they would have found “400 kilos of processed coca leaf, among other liquids and solids for the processing and manufacturing of the narcotic,” according to the El Heraldo note.
“These blows limit the flow of money that finances criminal actions against the civilian population and the Public Force; In addition, the recovery of the spaces occupied by these illegal infrastructures that have been built at the expense of the deforestation of natural areas is achieved,” according to an Army source told said media.
In that sense, the article mentioned that the authorities had managed to clarify that the income from the commercialization of said substances would exceed 2,000 million pesos per month, between both laboratories.
