The SMN changed its forecast for Tropical Storm Lidia. In the morning it was expected to escalate to a Category 1 Hurricane during the early hours of Tuesday. In its most recent update it was reported that the meteor will evolve at approximately 6:00 p.m. today.
Lidia continues to approach the Mexican coast, as it is already 525 kilometers south-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, in Baja California Sur, and 675 kilometers west-southwest of Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco. Therefore, it will cause intense rains, strong gusts of wind and high waves in Baja California Sur, Sinaloa and Nayarit.
