A North Carolina Taco Bell employee is in critical condition after a customer shot him for not giving him enough change after he paid.
The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday around 9:30 p.m., reports the New York Post.
“When law enforcement officers arrived on scene, they found an employee suffering from multiple gunshot wounds,” Charlotte-Mechlenberg police said in a statement.
“According to witnesses, after ordering food, the suspect became aggressive at the drive-thru when he believed he had not received the correct amount of money in change,” we add.
The suspect then entered the restaurant, where he pulled out a gun and shot the employee in question.
The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Using video captured by a surveillance camera, authorities were able to identify the suspect and trace him to his residence, where he was arrested.
He faces several charges including one for assault with a weapon with intent to kill.
