Sheraldo Becker suffered a painful defeat with Union Berlin in the Champions League on Tuesday. The born Amsterdammer scored twice, but saw Braga win 2-3, partly thanks to a beautiful goal from former PSV player Bruma.
Becker gave his team the lead after half an hour. He was allowed to approach goalkeeper Matheus on his own and found the opening between the legs. It marked the first Champions League goal of the 28-year-old Becker’s career.
A few minutes later the former player of ADO Den Haag scored again. Becker was again allowed to strike freely and this time shot the ball into the top corner.
It seemed to be a dream evening for the six-time Surinamese international, but the Portuguese visitors fought back into the match. Sikou Niakaté scored the tying goal before half time.

Equalizer Bruma highlight of the evening
The highlight for the neutral spectator took place in the second half. Former PSV player Bruma received the ball after a nice corner variation, did not hesitate and scored with a devastating shot in the intersection: 2-2.
Things got even worse for Becker and co. In the fourth minute of injury time, André Castro scored to make it 2-3. He did this on the instructions of Bruma, who thus became the man of the evening for Braga.
Union Berlin suffered its second defeat in a row and therefore occupies the last place in group C. Later in the evening, Napoli-Real Madrid is scheduled for this group.
