After a few days of low profile for the La Libertad Avanza (LLA) candidate, Javier Milei, his entourage reported that he is focused on preparing for the presidential debate next Sunday, and they announced that yesterday he recorded a spot, the content of which is reserved, and a note with the driver Alejandro Fantino, which will be published tomorrow.

Today, the LLA leader has no public activity, but will be dedicated to studying and planning his participation in the meeting with his rivals at the University of Santiago del Estero. He will travel to the Northern province tomorrow, along with his main advisors.
These are his sister, Karina, the head of his technical teams and eventual Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse; his running mate, Victoria Villarruel; the possible Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello; and who could be his Secretary of Education, Martín Krause, who collaborate on the social aspects of the debate, where the axes will be Economy, Education and Democratic Coexistence. Later, Ramiro Marra, the candidate for head of the Buenos Aires government, will join; and the advisor on economic issues and candidate for senator, Juan Nápoli.

Milei’s agenda was taken up from the beginning of this week by the preparation of the debate. For days now, the leader has dedicated himself almost exclusively to preparing her statements on the topics on which she has less experience, that is, those that go beyond the economy. Thus, he did not schedule new campaign visits to the territory, nor interviews with the media. In the public sphere, he only tweets. And he barely left his “bunker” to visit Ambassador Marc Stanley on Tuesday.
He began preparing last week at his home, where he received, in group and bilateral meetings, some of the technicians from his team who dedicated themselves to instructing him. Petovello, for social issues; to Villarruela, for those linked to security; and Posse. Afterwards, he studies alone the papers that were prepared for him.
The planning, they clarify, only concerns the content, and they did not hire an image consultant or public speaking expert. “Javier has all the experience in giving talks. He doesn’t need coaching,” they said around him. The forms, they assure, will be “pure Milei” to confront Patricia Bullrich (Together for Change-JxC), Sergio Massa (Unión por la Patria-UxP), Juan Schiaretti (We do for Our Country) and Myriam Bregman (Frente de Izquierda FIT-U Unit).

As the candidate with the most votes in PASO, and as the one with the most disruptive ideas, he will be the exclusive protagonist of the dialectical battle. To begin with, he will be the first to enter the room, as was arranged during the organization of the debate. But above all, because his opponents, as they let us know, will be prepared to “attack” especially the libertarian candidate.
The event, scheduled for October 1 at the Provincial Forum Convention Center in Santiago del Estero, will be moderated by journalists Rodolfo Barili (Telefé), Evangelina Ramallo (Canal 9 Litoral-ATA), Esteban Mirol (Canal 9) and Lucila Trujillo (Public TV-C5N). They will be in charge of asking the questions and guiding the different segments in which the candidates will participate and share their opinions.
According to the established regulations, each candidate will have two minutes without interruptions to present their position, in an order previously established by draw. After a 12-minute advertising break, the second round of debate will begin, with the axis called “Human rights and democratic coexistence.” For the second presidential debate, scheduled for Sunday, October 8, it will take place at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires, in CABA. In that instance, the axes “Security”, “Work and production”, and “Human development, housing and environmental protection” will be discussed.
Next Sunday’s debate will take place in prime time, at 9:00 p.m., and will be broadcast live on Public Television (TVP). In addition, there is the possibility that other channels, stations and websites throughout the country will broadcast the event. For those who prefer to follow it online, Infobae will offer exclusive coverage with special messages and all the details minute by minute.
