Arrest teams enter Erasmus MC after shooting in classroom | Domestic

Two people were injured in two shooting incidents in Rotterdam. One of these took place in a room at the Erasmus Medical Center, the other incident in a home. It is unclear where the perpetrator is.

The shooting incident in the house took place at Heiman Dullaertplein in Rotterdam-West. The Erasmus Medical Center is nearby.

Arrest teams ran into the Erasmus MC. People in the building ran outside.

People in front of the building inform Rijnmond that shots were fired on the fourth floor. Police officers would search all offices in the building.

It is unclear where the perpetrator is at the moment. The police previously reported that he fled, but now report that it is also possible that he is still in the building. “We are investigating all possibilities,” a spokesperson told NU.nl.

Police previously reported that the perpetrator fled in combat clothing. He may have done that on a motorcycle. He has black hair, is in his mid-twenties and has a firearm.

According to Rijnmond, the shooting took place in the house first. There was a fire there earlier on Thursday, during which bangs could be heard. The perpetrator then allegedly went to the school.
