There will be 10 teams rewarded for their performance throughout this season (Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Venezuela and Chile). And in the country, four teams have a chance of winning it: Alianza Lima, Universitario, Sporting Cristal and Melgar.
“With the objective of promoting sporting excellence and competitiveness, the Confederation, together with the Member Associations, decided to provide USD 1,000,000 to reward the champions of the local tournaments of each country,” wrote the highest soccer body in South America.

It is worth remembering that last year Alianza Lima also received a financial amount from the Peru Football Consortium or better known as GOLPERU after being national champion. The company in question gave him a total of 354 thousand dollars. On the other hand, Melgar (second place) and Sporting Cristal (third place) were awarded 236 thousand dollars and 118 thousand dollars, correspondingly.

However, it is still uncertain whether these awards will continue. Because? And the organization headed by Paco Casal lost almost all the rights to League 1, it only broadcasts the home games of four teams, and the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) took control with 1190 Sports.
Alianza Lima, for the moment, has a better chance of winning the Conmebol prize. He won the Apertura Tournament, is first in the Accumulated table and is in the fight for the Clausura. Melgar, Sporting Cristal and Universitario are also fighting to obtain phase 2 of the Peruvian championship. Know the possible scenarios:
– If Alianza Lima wins the Clausura Tournament, it will automatically be champion of League 1.
– If another team wins the Clausura Tournament and comes second in the Accumulated, they will play the final with Alianza Lima.
– If another team wins the Clausura Tournament and does not finish second in the Accumulated, there will be semifinals and then the final with Alianza Lima.
