Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij achieved a big victory with Internazionale in the derby against AC Milan on Saturday. Partly due to an assist from Dumfries, the Serie A match in San Siro ended 5-1. In Scotland, Celtic had a good general for the Champions League match on Tuesday against Feyenoord.
Internazionale needed just five minutes to open the scoring. After good work from Marcus Thuram, the ball ended up at the feet of Henrikh Mkhitaryan via Federico Dimarco, who scored from close range, 1-0. Thuram doubled the lead in the 38th minute with a nice shot in the far intersection. The assist for that goal came from Dumfries.
Rafael Leão connected for Milan after just under an hour, but Mkhitaryan scored for the 3-1 in the 69th minute after a nice attack. 10 minutes later, Hakan Çalhanoglu scored from the spot to make it 4-1, after which Davide Frattesi made it 5-1 in injury time.
Dumfries was the only Dutch international at Internazionale with a starting place. De Vrij came on fifteen minutes before the end, while Davy Klaassen remained on the bench. AC Milan’s starting player Tijjani Reijnders was substituted in the 77th minute.

Luis Alberto returned the favor after the break on behalf of the Romans, but Vlahovic ended the match moments later with his second goal.
Lazio finished second in Serie A last season, but are currently in a disappointing fifteenth place.
