After the tough 5-1 defeat against Brazil as a visitor, those led by Gustavo Costas will seek to become stronger at the height of La Paz against Argentina, the new world champions in Qatar 2022. Looking ahead to the clash against the Albiceleste, which started their way with a 1-0 victory against Ecuador at the Monumental with a goal from a free kick by Lionel Messi, Marcelo Moreno Martins made clear the unrest that reigns in the team as a result of the fact that some of the local fans sympathize with La Pulga and the commanded by Lionel Scaloni.
“We are strong, and worse at home. We have to maintain that union. We can’t be apart. We cannot support two teams, we have to be united. This is how a competitive team is formed and that is what we want, to feel the love of the people. I am sure that tomorrow we will feel it and we will play for all of them,” remarked the historic scorer of the Bolivian team at a press conference.

Continuing with his analysis, the Independiente del Valle leader remarked: “We want you to support the process that the teacher has. There are many boys here. He cannot be crucified for one party. They need the support of our people, we cannot support two teams. We are going through a complicated problem in Bolivian football. I’m sure it can happen. We need everyone’s support to be able to grow together. I know that by growing together, things will improve, we will be able to compete in a different way. It is the most important thing that the boys play freely, that they do not feel pressured by their own people. “I ask you to support the youngest in the national team.”

Technical director Gustavo Costas, for his part, expressed: “The game is difficult, no matter how much they say it or not. We know it is difficult, it is not easy. They have players who are in a spectacular moment, they are relaxed, who have taken off a backpack of so many years. They have the best in the world. We know it’s not going to be an easy game at all. Anyway, even so, we have enormous faith in each other. We know what we have to do and I hope we get it 100 percent.”
