Regarding this topic, how well are we Colombians writing? According to research carried out by the specialized firm Smartick, from Spain, in several Spanish-speaking countries, including Colombia, 6 out of 10 Colombians have poor spelling.

This study was applied in Spain, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, and the reading comprehension, spelling, morphosyntax and morphology of 24,000 people who participated in the research were evaluated. Although the country ranked third in text comprehension, after Spain and Chile, in spelling it fell to the penultimate position.
