In this place, Piscoya Vera tested positive for consumption of alcoholic beverages after measuring alcohol levels in his blood. The report showed 0.34 grams, a percentage that would have freed him from a criminal sanction. After the dissemination of a report issued by the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR), in which it is concluded that Héctor Piscoya claimed “powers of the board of directors” and “unilaterally appointed the position of general manager,” the Minister of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, Hania Pérez de Cuéllar, requested the immediate resignation of the official.

“Given the CGR report revealed in a Sunday program, I have asked Mr. Héctor Piscoya to immediately resign from the position of president and director of Sedapal,” wrote the head of the Housing portfolio in her X account.

As is known, last Sunday, September 3, Contracorriente released a report from the Comptroller’s Office, which reveals an alleged irregular appointment. According to documents that appeared in a Sunday report, the official would have made an irregular appointment by appointing David Chong Silva as general manager of Sedapal, without prior approval from the board of directors of the state company.
