To promote reading and writing in all secondary schools, primary schools in seventh grade and for educators at all levels, the Anne Frank Center – together with the government of Santiago del Estero – launches three writing contests starting September 7 that include in the award a trip to the Netherlands.
During the month of September, the Anne Frank Center for Latin America (CAFA), located at Superí 2647 (Buenos Aires), and the government of Santiago del Estero will hold a contest that includes training for teachers in the northern province, in the Juan Felipe Ibarra complex, which will allow you to investigate specific knowledge about the history of Anne Frank and Nazism.
The call, which will be open until October 18, invites you to send texts with reflections on current events, coexistence in diversity, gender, disability, school dropouts and integration in the educational community. The formats can be both journalistic (interviews, opinion or research notes) as well as essays and literary texts linked to coexistence in the classroom, bullying, communication between students and topics linked to diversity.

With a jury made up of a group of 10 people from Santiago del Estero and Buenos Aires, including educators, writers, artists and journalists, the three contests are aimed at different recipients.
The call is open until October 18. Two of the prizes offer a trip to Anne Frank’s homeland (Anne Frank House)
The first is intended for “group newspapers,” that is, for groups of seventh-grade and first-year students who present a journalistic project. In this modality, each course participates with the coordination of its teachers and must prepare a newspaper that displays texts of inquiry, research and reflection. The prize consists of a cultural trip to Buenos Aires for the entire group.
The second call is intended for 2nd and 5th year students to write literary texts in all genres: short stories, essays and poetry. The award of this instance is a trip to the Netherlands in 2024, together with the Delegation of the Anne Frank Center.
With the aim of improving coexistence in diversity among young people in the region, the latest contest is focused on educational projects for teachers of all levels and both public and private schools in Santiago del Estero. The award? A trip to the Netherlands in 2024, together with the Anne Frank Center Delegation.
The initiative includes virtual visits to the Anne Frank Museum for students preparing their projects and also training for teachers, led by the Anne Frank Center’s teacher training institute. Those interested can consult for more information by email: Concursosliterarios.cafa@gmail.com.
