An investigation is opened into the five railway workers hit by a train in Italy
The death in northern Italy of five railway workers hit by a high-speed train has led to an investigation. The workers were working on replacing pieces of track at the Brandizzo station, near Turin, when the locomotive hit them.
Two other members of the team were injured. The train was running with empty carriages on the line between Milan and Turin. It was traveling at 160 kilometers per hour and authorities have said the investigation would focus on why it was going so fast.
