Alicante, Aug 27 (EFE).- Two babies, seven minors, two women and 39 adult men have been rescued in a relatively good state of health since last Friday on the south coast of the Valencian Community after arriving in five boats .
According to data from the Red Cross, the precarious boats have been intercepted in Guardamar del Segura, the Fosa de Calp beach, the Arenales del Sol in Elche, Torrevieja and the last one on Saturday afternoon on a beach in l’Alfàs del Pi, all of which ultimately bring the number of migrants to 50.
Among them are a baby under two months and another 13, a child under 15, two 16 and four 17, as well as two women and 39 men.
All the people have been directed to the facilities of the Red Cross in the port of the city of Alicante for care by specialists and volunteers from the humanitarian institution, and despite the fact that there has been several minor medical assistance, there has been no need. transfer to a hospital center because all of them were in a relatively good state of health.
This new wave brings to about 350 the number of migrants who have reached the coast of the Valencian Community, all of them in the province of Alicante, so far in 2023, according to figures from the Red Cross. EFE
