The two Dutch people stabbed to death in Italy on Wednesday are a 65-year-old man from Amsterdam and a 60-year-old man from Harderwijk. One of the victims is the father of the suspected perpetrator, a 21-year-old Dutchman.
Italian police are still looking for the man. She searches the woods around the village of Montaldo di Mondovi, in the northwestern mountain region of Piedmont. That’s where the stabbing took place.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in contact with the families involved, says a spokesperson for the ministry. If the 21-year-old man is arrested, he is entitled to consular assistance.
