Saint Dominic de Guzman († 1221)

A student at the University of Palencia in Spain, Dominique de Guzman put his neighbor before his studies. After having preached the Gospel in the south of France affected by the Cathar heresy, he founded, in 1215, the order of preaching brothers (the Dominicans), who spread the Gospel by word and example to across Europe.
