Interceltique celebrates Ireland

The Interceltic Festival of Lorient (FIL) is held from August 4 to 13, in the presence of the eight Celtic nations: Brittany, Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, Wales, Isle of Man, Galicia, Asturias.

Ireland, guest of honour, presents the groups The Kilkennys, Clannad and the Friel Sisters, the artists Libby McCrohan, Davog Rynne… and pipe bands (brass bands).

This 42nd edition, which expects 900,000 visitors, hosts 300 concerts and 5,000 musicians, including Suzanne Vega, Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine, Denez, Annie Ebrel, I Muvrini…

France 3 devotes a program to the WIRE on August 18 at 9:10 p.m.
