The VVD should not cooperate with the PVV after the elections, says the JOVD. That is what Michiel Suijker, chairman of the liberal youth, says in the program WNL Haagse Lobby.
Earlier this month, VVD Member of Parliament Ruben Brekelmans did not completely rule out cooperation with the PVV, when he said that due to stricter asylum policy, discussion is necessary in the party.
According to him, you “cannot get stuck in compromises with the left” if you want to implement a strict asylum policy as a party.
However, Suijker believes that the basic principles of both parties are too far apart. For example, he calls it “not okay” that PVV leader Geert Wilders has not retracted his earlier statements about, among other things, fewer Moroccans.
According to him, the VVD should therefore “in no way” cooperate with Wilders’ party. Suijker does think it’s good that Brekelmans “confess his color”.
