They denounce the mayoress of San Isidro for misuse of a municipal vehicle: “She takes me to the hairdresser’s and leaves me”

A few days after completing almost seven months in office, the mayoress of San Isidro, Nancy Rosalie Vizurraga Torrejón, is under the magnifying glass. This after being reported for using the municipal vehicle to go to a beauty salon to request a hairdressing service, located in the same district.

However, she is also accused of having municipal personnel take charge of transferring her for unofficial community activities. That is to say, it would use the public good to mobilize in events unrelated to its functions.

There is a photograph of the vehicle in front of the ‘Koko Caceres Estilista’ aesthetic center on July 11 of this year, the date that the authority would have been inside. The license plate of the luxurious car belongs to the municipality, just like the Al Estilo Juliana program verified that it is the same one that transports the mayoress to all places so that she complies with the scheduled activities.

This was denounced by the lawyer and expert on municipal issues, Julio Castiglioni, before the Comptroller General of the Republic for the alleged crime of embezzlement. “That is called embezzlement for use, because it is not a car assigned to her for her use [personal]. It is a car assigned to the municipality, ”explained the lawyer.

Castiglioni details that the vehicle was used with state money, so there is a crime that must be investigated by the authorities. In addition, it has been provided that a municipal worker fulfill other functions outside of his working hours.

Given this, the edile authority responded to the fact and indicated that there is nothing “bad” in asking a staff that can transfer it, but not “wait”. However, he did not deny whether this episode existed this year, as denounced by the lawyer.

“The vehicle belongs to the district […] It is not that I have used an official vehicle, what happens is that I have to go to a hairdresser, but the vehicle does not go to the hairdresser and waits for me, no. Simply, I go, I take care of myself and I come back ”, she mentioned.

Likewise, he stated that he makes the driver wait for him, that is, he would only leave him in the place and leave. This after he does not deny any of the accusations.

This person was identified as Edilberto Cáceres Padilla or better known as ‘Koko’, who would be in charge of taking care of her when he goes to the hairdresser’s.

In the Mayor’s Resolution No. 210, the “recognition and congratulations” of the citizen in question are made official. Likewise, it has the signature of Vizurraga Torrejón. According to the aforementioned media, this is granted to residents who make “large contributions” in favor of the district.

The lawyer Castiglioni says that any award must be approved by the Municipal Council, but it would not have happened that way, which is why he qualifies it as “irregular”. “I can’t decorate whoever I like, because he is not my farm. I depend on a Municipal Council that regulates and legislates, ”he added.

Councilor Nicolle Chávez revealed that the decision is not given under the decision of her colleagues. She also denounced that they monitor her and hinder her “in her capacity as a woman.” In turn, she questioned why the same procedure is not done to a mayor.
