The success of The Boys (2019– ) paved the way on Prime Video for Gen V (2023), a newly planned spin-off series preparing the first generation of Supes for their future roles. The release date was already known and a teaser trailer has also been released.
Gen V’s starting location is Godolkin University, where young, competitive Supes are trained to reach the top spot within their own ranks. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to terms with the kind of hero they’re about to become.

The new spin-off will introduce a lot of actors who were not yet seen in The Boys. The most famous names are probably those of Patrick Schwarzenegger (right, the son of) and Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018–2020)). Jaz plays the lead role (Marie Moreau), alongside Lizze Broadway, who plays the shrinking Supe Emma Shaw.
Creator Craig Rosenberg has more than earned his spurs in the series world: he co-wrote and developed Preacher (2016–2019) and was equally closely involved with The Boys. Rosenberg shares creator credits with The Boys creator Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg.
The first three episodes of Gen V appear 29 september on Prime Video. After that, a new episode will follow every week. The final is on 3 november to see. The fourth season of The Boys is also coming up, but we can’t report a release date yet. Follow the news on the series pages and update your watchlist to stay up to date.
