Rasmus Kristensen continues his career on loan at AS Roma. The former Ajax player comes over from Leeds United for one season and becomes one of Rick Karsdorp’s competitors in the Italian capital. Jacob Rasmussen is just leaving Italy.
Kristensen could look forward to a new club after he was relegated from the Premier League with Leeds United last season. The right back came to 26 league games for Leeds last football year and scored three times.
Due to the temporary transfer to AS Roma, the period of 26-year-old Kristensen in the Premier League is limited to one year for the time being. In the summer of last year, he came over from Red Bull Salzburg, which took over from Ajax in 2019.
In Amsterdam, Kristensen could not live up to his transfer fee of 5.5 million euros. He played 27 games in a year and a half and scored one goal. The Dane did this in the cup final won against Willem II (0-4 in 2019).
At AS Roma, Kristensen will meet three-time Oranje-international Karsdorp in the battle for the right-back position. The former Feyenoorder was at odds with trainer José Mourinho last season, but is still under contract in Rome until the summer of 2025.

No duel between compatriots Kristensen and Rasmussen
In any case, Kristensen will not meet his compatriot Rasmussen in Serie A. Earlier in the day it was announced that the mandekker is leaving Italy and opting for a return to Denmark. Rasmussen opts for an adventure at Brøndby IF.
Rasmussen was hired by Feyenoord from Fiorentina last season and played ten league games. At the end of May, the mandekker already said goodbye to the Rotterdammers. Rasmussen previously spent two seasons on a rental basis for Vitesse.
The 26-year-old Rasmussen has played for Fiorentina since 2019, which took him over from Empoli for around 7 million euros at the time. He never claimed a place in the first team and never made his debut for the club from Florence.
