Miguel Ángel Mancera, a candidate for the Broad Front for Mexico, called on President Andrés Manuel López Obrador not to intervene, beyond what the law allows, in the internal process of the opposition bloc to choose its presidential candidate.

After President López Obrador has dedicated his morning conferences this week to criticize and disqualify the method and the opposition candidates, the PRD member told the media on July 5 that not even the head of the Executive branch is allowed to intervene beyond those established by law.

Regarding the aspirations of the PAN senator from Hidalgo, the federal president once again demerited his eventual candidacy this Wednesday: “Well, this group was consulted, almost all of them, by Claudio X. González Jr., and that’s where the Xóchitl Gálvez thing came from. This consultation was carried out about a month ago. You are aware that I told them: They have already decided, and everything else is a hoax, I even used the same word, the same term. And I told them: I’m going to let you know the name.”

Mancera, who among his proposals promotes the model of a coalition government, ruled out getting out of the race and is scheduled to register at the Broad Front headquarters next Sunday at 11 am.

For his part, López Obrador has focused his batteries on the PAN candidates, and this day he launched himself against the president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, Santiago Creel Miranda, who accused López Obrador of trying to intervene in the process. of the Broad Front for Mexico.

As for Mancera, he has highlighted that his idea of ​​implementing a coalition government model in Mexico has gained strength. In this sense, the former director of the OECD, José Ángel Gurría, will be in charge of outlining the project of the first government of this type in our country, in the event that the PRI-PAN-PRD bloc wins the 2024 election.
