“’La Casa de Magaly’ is a classic of the program, which is 25 years old. Competition on television has always been tough, it’s never been weak. I have always said it, it is a jungle where the strongest resist. Also, I don’t like being compared to other reality shows, mine is not a format, it’s something we invented,” said the TV host.

Regarding ‘La Casa de Magaly’, the journalist said that the project is in the production stage, which is why she cannot give many details. However, she made it clear that this proposal is aimed at creating new characters, as she has always done since its first season, which aired on October 25, 2010.

“I am very grateful. Angobaldo was a person who went to the San Jorge Prison on Sundays, where Ney Guerrero was, and brought platters of ceviche, pork rinds and other dishes to the prisoners. He also entertained them. When we got out of jail and started doing the show, Ney told me, ‘I’ve met a character who could be your character.’ When I met him, he seemed to me a dark rascal, with all the Creole of Peruvians, and I loved him. That’s why we made him one more character on TV and on my show. To all the ones I have created, I am very fond of them, ”he explained to Infobae Peru.

“Shirley Cherres, Shirley Arica, Antonio Pavón, the pizza maker (Mauricio Diez Canseco), all those people were born in ‘La Casa de Magaly’. There are many characters that I am grateful to, because they not only gave me many moments of good audience, but also because they became part of my television family. They will always be an endearing part of the 25 years of Magaly TV, and of course, now is the time to create new characters as well”, he pointed out.

The TV host pointed out that the choice of figures for ‘La Casa de Magaly’ takes time, since it is not easy to choose their new creations. In addition, if there are other relevant reasons such as the budget, because compared to large productions such as the one being prepared by Latina (La Hacienda de los Famosos), Magaly Medina’s reality show is a national proposal made with petty cash.

“We will introduce new characters, that is why the casting stage takes a long time, because I think it is the most important part of a reality show, who do you put to live together, that is why we are taking a long time. Also for a question of money, because we have not bought an international format. We are a channel that fights with national, small weapons, without a large budget”, clarified the presenter of Magaly TV La Firme.

“Unlike other channels, we do not have a large pocket from which to get money and pay huge amounts to the protagonists of our stories, we manage a petty cash box, very small. That has caused us a lot of delay, we are a small channel fighting against a Goliath. So, that’s where we are, that’s why we took a long time. We hope that for the other half of the year we will have everything ready and we will be able to air the reality show,” the journalist said.
