This Friday, the United States government accused Chinese companies of manufacturing and distributing fentanyl in that neighboring country of Mexico. In a statement, it was reported that two indictments detailing criminal conspiracies by China-based companies and employees to manufacture and distribute fentanyl in the United States were unsealed in Brooklyn federal court.

The prosecution is one of the first in the United States to charge Chinese chemical manufacturing companies with supplying precursor chemicals, used to make fentanyl in the United States.
