Maurice Hermans, the second son of Toon Hermans, passed away at the age of 74. This was announced by his management this afternoon.
Hermans was hit by a very aggressive bacteria a few weeks ago, his management said. He was in the AMC Amsterdam for treatment. “One in five people dies from the bacteria, which unfortunately was the case with Hermans,” writes his management.
Maurice was the second son of Toon Hermans and he assisted his father on and off stage for more than 35 years. For example, he designed the light and sound designs for the shows. He even stood on stage several times as a declarant next to his father. Between 1971 and 1991 he was also Toon’s manager.
