In their conversations, Cecilia reports on César’s violence and the bad relationship with her mother-in-law, Marcela Acuña.
From Resistencia, Chaco. “I’m very sad. Something very ugly happened today between César and me. And I need to tell someone but I don’t know who to talk to either, ”Cecilia Strzyzowksi wrote on May 3 to one of her WhatsApp contacts. On the other side of the screen, Z. —he will be called that to preserve his identity— asks him: “What happened?”
“Everything was ruined and now I don’t know what to do. I feel like I wasted almost two years of my life. That everything revolved around him. I didn’t realize that I depend so much on him, until today. If he leaves, I’m left with nothing. Everything, even my job depends on him. Not just my emotional life. The love I have for him, the dreams we had together. But if he stays, if he stays, he can go through today again. And I’m afraid that it will happen again, ”Cecilia said, referring to an episode of violence by her partner, César Sena — son of Emerenciano Sena and Marcela Acuña — who is the main suspect in her femicide.
Cecilia described the aggressive episode this way: “We were arguing over some nonsense and he told me: ‘Shut up’ and I wanted to get out of the truck and he forced me back in. But it is the first time that he is violent with me and he scared me ”.

Never with me,” she continued. And she explained: “There was no one around. We were in front of the play and everyone was at the school, about a block away. That’s why she scared me too: there was no one who could help me or do something. I swear I don’t know what to do. Now he asked for a turn to go to the psychiatrist because he is not well. But I don’t know, I feel like the world is coming down on me. And I can’t talk to anyone else. I only know that I am afraid, ”she insisted.
Z. tried to contain her: “You know that I’m going to help you with whatever I can help you. But at some point you’re going to have to talk to your family too. If it gets more complicated.” Cecilia continued: “Yes, I know. And if he shows any violent signs again I’m going to end it all. The limit has already passed. Today I saw my life before my eyes.”
