France did not make a mistake in the European Championship qualification on Friday when they visited Gibraltar. The two-time European champion won the away game 0-3. England also booked a big win and Orkun Kökçü was important for Turkey in the game against Latvia.
France never ran into problems against Gibraltar, which lost 3-0 to the Orange in the previous international period. Olivier Giroud opened the score in the third minute, after which Kylian Mbappé (penalty) and Aymen Mouelhi (own goal) determined the final score at 0-3.
Thanks to the victory, France remains clear in group B of the European Championship qualification. In the first two matches, the Netherlands (4-0) and Ireland (0-1) have already won. So far, the team of national coach Didier Deschamps has kept a clean sheet in all duels.
The Dutch will not play any European Championship qualifying matches this international period. The team of national coach Ronald Koeman is active in the final round of the Nations League. After the defeat against Croatia, the Orange will face Italy in the consolation final on Sunday.
In the other match in group E, Greece won against Ireland with AZ players Pantelis Hatzidiakos and Vangelis Pavlidis. The Greeks won 2-1 and will take over second place from the Orange for the time being. The best two countries qualify directly for the European Championship in 2024.

Big win for England, Kökçü important for Turkey
Like France, England also had a trouble-free evening. Goals from Ferdinando Apap (own goal), Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harry Kane and Callum Wilson beat Malta 0-4. Halfway through it was already 0-3.
England leads sovereignly with nine points from three matches in group C, in which Italy, North Macedonia and Ukraine are the other opponents. Ukraine fought back from a 2-0 deficit against North Macedonia on Friday and won 2-3.
In group D, Kökçü helped Turkey to an entertaining 2-3 win against Latvia. Feyenoord’s record sale gave the assist to Cengiz Ünder’s 1-2 in the 61st minute. Latvia came alongside in the 94th minute, but a minute later Irfan Can Kahveci brought Turkey into ecstasy.
Germany, as the organizing country, is automatically qualified for the European Championship, but again had to deal with a downer. The team of the criticized national coach Hansi Flick lost a friendly game 1-0 against Poland. Earlier this week, Ukraine also failed to win (3-3).
