Belgium drew 1-1 against Austria on Saturday in the qualifying series for the European Championship of 2024. Norway also lost expensive points and, despite a goal by Erling Haaland, fell against Scotland: 1-2. Portugal won 3-0 against Bosnia and Herzegovina thanks to two goals and an assist from Bruno Fernandes.
Belgium unfortunately fell behind in Brussels after twenty minutes when the ball ended up in the goal after a shot by Austrian Michael Gregoritsch via the Belgian Orel Mangala.
The home team of national coach Domenico Tedesco had been lagging behind for a long time, but after an hour of play came alongside via Romelu Lukaku. The thirty-year-old striker’s long shot was unattainable for goalkeeper Alexander Schlager.
It signaled the start of a Belgian final offensive. Deep into injury time, Youri Tielemans was close to scoring, but his shot hit the crossbar.
Austria is in the lead in group F with seven points from three games. Belgium, having played a game less, is three points behind.

Haaland cannot prevent defeat Norway
At Norway-Scotland, Haaland made it 1-0 after an hour at Ullevall Stadium in Oslo. He was allowed to moor for a penalty and shot flawlessly into the corner. With that he seemed to give his team the victory.
Nothing could be further from the truth, because the Scots struck twice just before the end. Lyndon Dykes scored the equalizer, after which Kenny McLean completely turned the game upside down.
The 22-year-old Haaland, who scored the 22nd goal in his 24th international match, has had a dream season with Manchester City. Partly thanks to his many goals, the treble was taken. Against Scotland he was substituted on in the 84th minute.
Due to the loss, Norway is far away from qualifying for the European Championship, which has one point after three matches. Scotland is still clear after three games. Number two Spain, which has played two matches, follows with three points.

Fernandes important for Portugal
Portugal had an easy evening against Bosnia in Lisbon. Bernardo Silva opened the score just before half-time after a beautiful through ball from Fernandes. The declarant doubled the score with a header in the 77th minute.
In injury time, Fernandes took it one step further. The Manchester United midfielder determined the final score with a wonderful volley.
Portugal, where Cristiano Ronaldo completed ninety minutes, is comfortably in the lead in group J. The team of national coach Roberto Martínez has nine points from three games. Slovakia is in second place, which has seven points thanks to a win over Iceland (1-2).
In group E, Vaclav Cerný was worth gold for the Czech Republic. The attacker of FC Twente scored twice in the away match against the Faroe Islands. It became 0-3. The Czechs lead with seven points from three matches. Poland and Albania follow with three points from two games.
