At a home in Navolato, Sinaloa, members of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) secured a clandestine laboratory where synthetic drugs such as crystal methamphetamine were allegedly made.

The discovery occurred after the military detected a property with the characteristics of a drug laboratory in the vicinity of the town “El Pintor”, in an area in the middle of the mountain surrounded by trees and undergrowth, territory of the Sinaloa Cartel.
The military elements, after the seizure, handed over the site to agents of the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) and personnel of the Expert Services of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), who carried out inspection, prosecution and investigation tasks.

Two thousand 999 liters 94 milliliters and two thousand kilos of a substance containing methamphetamine, nine thousand 309 liters 97 milliliters of hydrochloric acid, three thousand 89 liters 96 milliliters of a substance containing benzyl cyanide, one thousand 999 liters were seized at the scene. 97 milliliters of acetone, 1,699 liters 99 milliliters of phenyl acetic acid, 1,339 liters 98 milliliters of phenyl-2-propanone, 1,249 liters 96 milliliters of toluene, and 699 liters 99 milliliters of monomethylamine-2-propanone.
In addition, various laboratory accessories such as centrifuges, gas tanks, drums, reactors, pots and tubs, among others, were also seized. The insured was made available to the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), who initiated the investigation folder against who or who is responsible for the aforementioned crime.

On June 2, it was reported that in Sinaloa authorities carried out inspections inside a courier company and discovered possible illegal substances hidden in cereal boxes. The substance found was identified as presumed crystal, the name given to methamphetamine.

The location and seizure of the substance was carried out by members of the National Guard, who received the support of a canine pair to carry out the reviews. The uniformed officers obtained authorization to enter a company located in the municipality of Culiacán, Sinaloa.
Once on the site, the dog showed interest in two cardboard boxes because it detected the presence of some illegal object or material. Given these actions, the national guards proceeded to carry out a more specific review of the shipment, which led to the discovery of the alleged drug.
In a first box, the members of the National Guard found a cereal package that hid a bag with the supposed drug, a substance with the characteristics of glass. But the discovery of the uniformed did not end there, because during the review of a second box they secured another three bags containing the same substance.
Said bags were secured by members of the National Guard and made available to the Public Ministry so that the corresponding investigations can be carried out and also to determine the type and quantity of the material. The discovery of the drug hidden in cereal boxes was reported by the institution through a statement shared on Thursday, June 1.
“In compliance with the National Public Security Strategy and to contribute to the National Strategy for the Prevention of Addictions Together for Peace, in Sinaloa, members of the National Guard (GN) seized apparent glass hidden in cardboard boxes and cereal packages” , was part of the statement from the authorities.
