What can you expect today?
The Haringvlietbrug will close tonight from 10 p.m. for almost two months. The important north-south connection in the A29 motorway between the Hoeksche Waard and Goeree-Overflakkee is being thoroughly addressed. For example, the movable part of the bridge will be replaced.Prinses Beatrix presents the Silver Carnations of the Prince Bernhard Culture Fund. The Silver Carnation goes every year to people who volunteer for culture and nature in the Netherlands. And the 42nd edition of Oerol will start on Terschelling. Sustainability is the most important theme for this ten-day festival, which is why there are fewer locations in nature.

Former United States president Trump says on his social media channel Truth Social that he has been charged. He says the charge “apparently” has to do with classified documents found at his Florida estate Mar-a-Lago last year.
Trump says he must report to court in Miami on Tuesday afternoon (local time). The State Department has not yet responded or confirmed Trump’s message. His lawyers have not yet responded.
The indictment itself is still sealed, even Trump has not yet seen it. American media report that the charge probably consists of seven counts. Court records from last year indicate he may have committed several crimes, including obstruction, conspiracy and illegal preservation of sensitive documents.
“The corrupt Biden administration has informed my lawyers that I have been charged, apparently over the box hoax,” he writes. “I’m innocent!” he added.
