Representatives of Lima Airport Partners (LAP) have shared the conditions and rules that must be followed to enter with four-legged children. For the Andina agency, they specified that they will be able to transit through the public areas of the terminal, which include the international and national arrivals areas, as well as the national and international boarding prior to controls and the food court.

The main recommendation is that pets are always supervised and kept on a leash at all times. Companion animals and those with a therapeutic function can move without the need for a kennel in certain cases.

Pets, especially dogs, that present behavioral problems or are considered to be at risk, must wear a muzzle and leash, as stipulated in the regulations on dog ownership.

To travel with these pets, it is required that they be transported in a kennel, either soft or hard, depending on the breed and the policies of each airline.

However, there are certain exceptions when it comes to controls. For example, companion animals or those that have a therapeutic function for passengers can move without the need for a kennel.
