What can you expect today?
The first seven suspects of the stadium riots after the match AZ – West Ham United are facing a court today. If they are found guilty, they will immediately hear their sentence. The British Prince Harry also visits the court. He has to testify in the case he has brought against the publisher of tabloid The Mirror. He accuses the newspaper of unlawfully collecting information. More than three months after the damning report of the parliamentary committee of inquiry on natural gas extraction in Groningen, Prime Minister Rutte and State Secretary Vijlbrief have to answer to the House of Representatives today.
What did you miss?
The Kakhovka dam in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine has been partially destroyed. Both Ukraine and Russia confirm the damage to the dam. Unverified footage shows large volumes of water flowing from one side of the dam to the other. It is feared that dozens of villages and parts of the port city of Kherson will be flooded. The city is several tens of kilometers away.
There may also be consequences for the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia. The reservoir behind the Kachovka dam in the Dnieper River is used, among other things, for cooling water for the nuclear power plant. Without cooling water, the plant must be shut down.

The recently placed Moments Contained statue in front of Rotterdam Central attracts a lot of attention. The four-meter-high bronze statue of a woman of color can count on the approval of many Rotterdammers, according to regional broadcaster Rijnmond.
At the unveiling of the statue last Friday, mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb predicted that it will be “the most photographed place in Rotterdam”. Every day dozens of people get their picture taken with the statue of artist Thomas J Price. It is sometimes so busy at the statue that people have to wait a while.
