Videos emerged of the failures on Line 3
On Twitter, users uploaded videos to demonstrate today’s failures on Line 3. They reported more than 20 minutes of being detained and in the dark in a subway car in Mexico City. They also manifested the presence of heat in the place.
“We are dying of heat. 20 minutes in the tunnel, Line 3, towards Indios Verdes (…) In the tunnel between Viveros and Coyoacán”.

Users denounced suffocation due to the lack of air conditioning in a Line 3 convoy
“More than two hours users of the Mexico City Metro were trapped on Line 3 that runs from Indios Verdes to Universidad. No air conditioning,” wrote one netizen. The metro account appreciated the report; however, another social media user wrote:
“Keep going. Fix the air that people are suffocating and it is not true that it is circulating. I had to get off because there are no metro stations”.
Metro users denounce zero maintenance
A video of a train whose doors were kept open during part of the trip went viral on social networks. This happened today June 2.
“Line 3 convoy with problems in the door system in the Mexico City Metro. It puts the lives of users at risk,” wrote one netizen.
The CDMX metro reported that circulation is continuous on Line 2, this after the march slowed down due to a train that was withdrawn for review. He also announced that the shipment of empty trains is being coordinated to meet the demand for the service.
Users reported slow circulation on Line 3
On social networks, some Internet users expressed their annoyance at the slowness in some stations on the Line. Delays of up to 30 minutes were reported. The official Twitter account of Mexico City explained: “The circulation of trains is continuous on Line 3, after carrying out a power cut to carry out a review in the area of the tracks. It allows the free closing of doors as well as getting off the wagon before entering”.
Alternatives to go to the center of CDMX
Due to the Los Fabulosos Cadillacs concert, the Mexico City subway recommended the following alternatives: Pino Suárez and Allende on Line 2, San Juan de Letrán on Line 8 and Bellas Artes on Lines 2 and 8. He urged the population to take their forecasts.
Zócalo station closes
The CDMX Metro reported that as of 1:00 p.m. the Zócalo station on Line 2 ceased to serve, due to the free concert that will be held by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs at night.
Line 9 Delays
Users shared that there are delays on Line 9 of the Mexico City Metro.
“Not even on weekends when the flow of people on #Linea9 is less can it serve well?” posted a tweeter.
Delays on Line 3 and 7
Users of the CDMX Metro reported from Twitter that there are delays on Line 7.
“And what happens in # L7 that goes super slow and stops for several minutes at each station!!!!!”. “Now detained in San Joaquin!!!! #L7!!! What the hell is going on!!!??”, are some of the comments.
A similar situation was also reported on Line 3: “20 minutes, the train is off and there is no progress at the Indios Verdes station, @ MetroCDMX what is happening??”
What time does the Zócalo station close?
The CDMX Metro reported that this Saturday, June 3, the Zócalo-Tenochtitlan station on Line 2 will stop providing service from 1:00 p.m. until further notice.
The alternatives for users will be Bellas Artes, San Juan de Letrán, Salto del Agua, Pino Suárez and Allende.
