Julián Román was a guest on the podcast ‘Por la ventana’, by comedian Camilo Díaz, and there he touched on a sensitive topic that has caused endless concerns among viewers: the actors union.

A fight that has left him with great satisfaction, but equally great problems, since many have not understood the real substance of his initiative.

The protagonist of Los Reyes stressed in the digital space that thanks to the union they achieved the Actor’s Law, which defends the rights of artists as workers in Colombia.

“I belong to the union. Before, without the union, we recorded on Sundays, holidays and they didn’t pay us well. Other days were achieved with the union, holidays were negotiated. They no longer work on Sundays, ”he specified.

Precisely this work focused on improving the working conditions of his colleagues has generated among his followers and viewers the question of whether he has been banned from national channels.

Román took advantage of the space with the comedians to answer this question, since there was a time when there was speculation about his departure from the main national channels.

“At first, there was fear because here in Colombia when talking about the union people think that one is from the left, that they are going to burn the canal, but at this moment I can tell you that I have not felt any veto,” Román initially stated in the podcast and added that he has not stopped working on the different productions.

Later, he emphasized: “At this moment I can tell you that I have not felt any veto in Colombia. I have not stopped camel. The productions that I have made have been seen on the channels here without a problem”.

The man from Bogota reiterated, finally, that thanks to the union they have achieved several benefits, such as paying the actors a sum of money for the repetition of the series in which they have appeared.

The 46-year-old actor has been the protagonist not only of famous television and film series, but also in national reality. During the social outbreak in 2021, he was a critic of what was happening and together with other friends, also actors, they went live on their social networks where they established his position regarding what was happening.

Julián assured that he won many detractors and that he was blocked by many politicians from the social network Twitter, especially from the Democratic Center.

His last position before the national reality became known when he launched a taunt at Agmeth Escaf for his presence in politics in the same program as comedian Camilo Díaz.

“How Agmeth Escaf?”, To which he replied: “Yes, mari **, what preparation!” He said on the program.

Román, in fact, added that if he learned political terms it was because of the lobbying that he had to do four years ago to get them to pay attention to the “Actor Law” and he confessed the requests that some senators made to listen to him.

“They call me a UTL… I learned those terms because I had to promote the Actor’s Law and I lobbied for four years in the Senate. One of those men told me: ‘I have a birthday, I need to take some friends with me so that people are entertained,’” he recounted.

“Once they asked me, who was the best senator you saw? Uribe, he was the only senator sitting with a notebook listening to everyone. All eating, all sleeping. That is why Uribe knows what he knows and talks about all the issues, ”added the actor.
