“Indeed, there was an incident of aggression from one student to another. In the version of the same students, they argue that they were playing around when they received the snack and from this action one of them was injured in the arm. In this sense, the attention route is activated ”, the school detailed in a statement.
The line to access the school restaurant services ended in a knife duel between the two students. During the fight, one of the minors was stabbed in his arm. The minor’s mother expressed her concern about the little control that the institution has with this type of situation.
“How do they allow schools to bring in knives? Apart from that it could have been worse. They have no controls. I ask the Minister of Education, President Petro, the Secretary of Education, to please take action on the matter. There is a lot of violence in schools. Why do they have to go through bullying? They are no longer safe places for our children,” said the mother of the assaulted minor.
The injured minor had to be admitted to a hospital for care. It is known that in the last hours he received a medical discharge and that he is recovering with his family.

The Ministry of Education ruled on this case and reported that from the moment the situation became known, the Office for School Coexistence (OCE), of the Ministry of Education, has been accompanying the school guidance team of the school, for the review of the situation and assured that: “they will develop pedagogical spaces with the students and their families to work in an articulated and co-responsible manner, to prevent and mitigate these situations and thus promote the schools as territories of peace”.
