Members of the National Police managed to recover 32 vehicles that were stolen thanks to the Impacto Cazador 2023 Mega-operation. The crimes were committed in the districts of Los Olivos, San Martín de Porres and Puente Piedra in the last 24 hours.

This was reported to the press by the General Commander of the PNP, Jorge Luis Ángulo Tejada, who explained that these police operations were carried out through the Vehicle Theft Prevention and Investigation Division.
“The National Police, through its operational units, has been monitoring the robbery and theft of vehicles, their dismantling, the figure of extortion to return their work tools to drivers and also the sale of accessories that they sell in different markets. In the last 24 hours, the response has intensified and 32 vehicles have been recovered, of which there are 17 linear motorcycles, two custers, eight cars, three vans, one truck, and one forklift. It was possible to capture four subjects and three firearms with which they threaten drivers and strip them of their vehicles,” said the PNP commander.

He explained that the criminals belong to the criminal gang ‘Los receptadores del Norte’ and specified that the value of what was stolen amounts to one million three hundred thousand soles. He explained that the thieves use GPS jammers, with the aim of stealing vehicles, which have a value of up to four thousand soles, which was also seized.
The PNP commander urged citizens not to buy car parts in the different informal markets where doors, tires, headlights, batteries and violently stolen computers are stored and warned criminals that they will carry out operations permanently.
“This market survives on demand. Unfortunately, some drivers go shopping when one of the parts of their vehicles is deteriorated. And what they cause is that these markets remain over time, ”he said.

The authority pointed out that they are strengthening the ability to respond to this situation “with police officers who are capable, proactive and committed to their work to be able to assist citizens who steal their car and then ask them for an amount of money to return it.” He pointed out that they are people of bad living who profit with the work tool of the people.

He indicated that the PNP is dedicated to identifying the different gangs and criminal organizations dedicated to vehicle theft, but they also work to minimize these crimes in favor of citizens.

For its part, the Terna group of the PNP presented this Thursday the capture, in San Juan de Miraflores, of a drug dealer, identified as Luis Enrique Huertas Larco, 30, who stored his illegal product in his home and distributed it throughout South Lima.

“We have various types of drugs such as cocaine hydrochloride, marijuana, synthetic drugs such as tusi, rolas, ecstasy. He pointed out that the ecstasy pills seized are sold at electronic parties and each tablet can be sold for 50 soles. The National Police announced that it is searching for the other members of the gang.
