The study carried out by the online wedding planning site Zola would have been based on a survey of 4,000 couples who will marry in 2023 to conclude an average increase of $ 1,000 in the wedding budget compared to last year, according to what CNN Business reported on Wednesday.

This increase would be due in particular to inflation as well as the resurgence of weddings after a few quieter seasons, but also to requests for increasingly personalized celebrations.

“Vendors in the wedding industry have had to raise their rates because they also pay more for goods and services like food, flowers and labor,” said Emily Forrest, director of communications at Zola. , to CNN.

In some American cities, including New York and San Francisco, the average cost even exceeds $35,000, reaching more than US$43,500 and US$37,200 respectively, according to the American media.
