The National Seismological Center (Censis) of the Peruvian Geophysical Institute (IGP) recorded a magnitude 4.1 earthquake this Wednesday, May 31 with epicenter in the city of Cajatambo, in the province of Cajatambo in the department of Lima.

According to a report from the National Seismic Network, the movement began at 11:14 p.m. (local time) and originated at a distance of 26 kilometers south of Cajatambo, with a depth of 101 kilometers and a latitude and longitude of -10.69 , -77.07 degrees.
Due to the magnitude of the telluric movement, the alert range issued was green.
