Feyenoord and AZ both play an exhibition match against Club Brugge in preparation for the new season. The Belgian club announced the practice schedule for the summer on Wednesday.
Feyenoord will take on Club Brugge on Wednesday 12 July. The national champion plays the match behind closed doors.
Ten days later, AZ is Club Brugge’s last opponent in the pre-season. Then the team of coach Rik De Mil plays the so-called Brugse Metten, a traditional practice match that the club plays almost every summer.
Club Brugge is currently still working on the current season. The team of the Dutch Noa Lang and Bjorn Meijer is fourth and last in the play-offs for the national title and can no longer become champion.
This Sunday, Club Brugge will visit Union Saint-Gilloise in the last game of the season. That team is involved in an exciting title battle with the Royal Antwerp of trainer Mark van Bommel and KRC Genk.
Feyenoord and AZ have no further practice matches scheduled in the preparation. The new season in the Eredivisie starts on Friday 11 August.
